Roaming In LTE Network: Is It Challenge For Operators? In the competitive edge of telecom, roaming is one of the biggest challenges for the telecom operators.

Generally roaming is just a concept of charging to users as they switch network area.

Earlier, so many network technologies already in the market such as 1G, 2G and 3G but these technologies are not able to manage roaming charges at effective way.

Few days ago when LTE was not in the existence, the operators do not able to provide the network signal to the users, so that the user experience going in narrow bottom and business as well.

Suppose you are travelling somewhere and using a SIM card of Vodafone, but in the visiting area the Vodafone network is not available, in this situation LTE roaming facilitate you network coverage of available network.

Diameter signaling platform is one of the best solutions ever to manage the telecom network.

LTE can also support some previous network protocols such as GSM, CDMA and WCDMA. This system is based on packet switching and pure IP based concept which is very easy to manage the signal frequency and networking functionality.

Advanced Extremely High Frequency

Advanced Extremely High Frequency is a constellation of communications satellites operated by the United States Space Force.

As a geosynchronous satellite over the equator, it still needs to be supplemented with additional systems optimized for polar coverage in high latitudes.

There will still need to be specialized satellite communications for extremely high data rate space sensors, such as geospatial and signals intelligence satellites, but their downlinked data will typically go to a specialized receiver and be processed into smaller amounts; the processed data will flow through AEHF. AEHF satellites are sent into space using an Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle.

The first satellite, USA-214, was successfully launched by an Atlas V 531 launch vehicle on 14 August 2010, from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The third AEHF satellite was launched from Cape Canaveral on 18 September 2013 at 08:10 UTC. The two-hour window to launch the satellite opened at 07:04 UTC and the launch occurred as soon as weather-related clouds and high-altitude winds cleared sufficiently to meet the launch criteria.

The fourth AEHF satellite was launched on 17 October 2018 from Cape Canaveral at 04:15 UTC using an Atlas V 551 rocket operated by the United Launch Alliance.

The fifth AEHF satellite was launched on 8 August 2019 from Cape Canaveral at 10:13 UTC using an Atlas V 551 rocket.

The Advanced Extremely High Frequency system provides vastly improved global, survivable, protected communications capabilities for strategic command and tactical warfighters operating on ground, sea and air platforms.

Through a continuing focus on affordability via fixed pricing, streamlined engineering teams, improved manufacturing and economies of scale, we lowered satellite cost by more than 35 percent in AEHF’s most recent block buy.

A single AEHF satellite provides greater total capacity than the entire legacy five-satellite Milstar constellation.

In addition to its tactical mission, AEHF assures the critical protected communications links for national leaders, such as the President and Joint Chiefs of Staff, in all levels of conflict.

Lockheed Martin is currently under contract to deliver six AEHF satellites and the Mission Control Segment.

The program has begun production of the fifth and sixth AEHF satellites, and initial operational capability of the system was July 28, 2015.

The AEHF team includes the U.S. Air Force Military Satellite Communications Systems Directorate at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sunnyvale, Calif., is the AEHF prime contractor, space and ground segments provider as well as system integrator, with Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, Redondo Beach, Calif., as the payload provider.

Advanced Extremely High Frequency Military Communications Satellite

The Advanced Extremely High Frequency system was one of the satellite systems projected to replace Milstar and would provide 12 times the throughput of that system.

The Advanced Extremely High Frequency System was a joint service satellite communications system that provides near-worldwide, secure, survivable, and jam-resistant communications for high-priority military ground, sea, and air assets.

NATO NC3A requested a possible sale of satellite communication services and support for Extremely High Frequency service on the United States Advanced EHF systems, AEHF follow-on support for meeting future satellite communication requirements, control of service-provisioned resources on AEHF and applicable follow-on systems, communications infrastructure upgrade and maintenance support, operation and logistics support including training, publications and documentation, U.S. Government and contractor technical assistance and other related requirements.

As of late 2002 the fate of a planned five-satellite buy of the Lockheed Martin-led Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite system depended upon the progress of the Transformational Communications System.

The AEHF Satellite Communications System provided secure, survivable communications to US warfighters during all levels of conflict and was planned to be the protected backbone of the DoD’s military satellite communications architecture.

The contract action was for the implementation of the Advanced Extremely High Frequency Satellite Communication System Program re-plan, which started in late 2004.

A United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket carrying the sixth Advanced Extremely High Frequency communications satellite for the U.S. Space Forces Space and Missile Systems Center lifted off from Space Launch Complex-41 on March 26 at 4:18 p.m. EDT. This marks the 83rd successful launch of an Atlas V rocket, 138th launch for ULA and first mission for the U.S. Space Force.

Measurements of the carbonate content of mine wastes, in front of and behind of the carbonate dissolution front, indicate that carbonate depletion occurs over a small distance along the path of groundwater flow and that carbonate minerals are absent behind the acid front.

Soil carbonate generally gives a bluish colour in ultraviolet-oblique incident light and a yellow colour in blue OIL. The original fabrics of carbonate nodules or lithic fragments obliterated by later recrystallisations may become visible by fluorescence microscopy.

4.4 Microbial carbonate genesisMicrobial metabolic behaviour can chemically affect local environments, generating conditions favourable for carbonate precipitation.

The distribution of archaeal lipids in methane-related carbonates and seepage sediments can also provide evidence for establishing which archaeal group is dominant in the environment, and it can also reveal a shift in the archaeal community structure during the development of the carbonate.

As 13C-depletion of carbonates indicates the incorporation of methane-derived carbon into the carbonate structure, 13C-depletion of archaeal and bacterial lipids from the same carbonate is strong microbiological evidence for AOM as the main process inducing carbonate precipitation.

Seep-related carbonates can appear as expansive fractured pavements, carbonate towers and “Mushrooms” rising from the seafloor as well as in the form of newly formed small fragile carbonate crusts and concretions within the sediment.

Carbonate Minerals

Aragonite is calcium carbonate, with the same chemical formula as calcite, but its carbonate ions are packed differently.

Aragonite and calcite are polymorphs of calcium carbonate.

Whereas today we have “Aragonite seas,” the Cretaceous Period was an extreme “Calcite sea” in which the calcite shells of plankton formed thick deposits of chalk.

Calcite, calcium carbonate or CaCO3, is so common that it’s considered a rock-forming mineral.

Calcite is a very common mineral in many different geologic settings; it makes up most limestone and marble, and it forms most cavestone formations like stalactites.

Calcite is the classic example of double refraction, but it’s not that rare in other minerals.

Rhodochrosite is a cousin of calcite, but where calcite has calcium, rhodochrosite has manganese.

Carbonate Mineral

Carbonate mineral, any member of a family of minerals that contain the carbonate ion, CO32-, as the basic structural and compositional unit.

The crystal structure of many carbonate minerals reflects the trigonal symmetry of the carbonate ion, which is composed of a carbon atom centrally located in an equilateral triangle of oxygen atoms.

The carbonates tend to be soft, soluble in hydrochloric acid, and have a marked anisotropy in many physical properties as a result of the planar structure of the carbonate ion.

There are approximately 80 known carbonate minerals, but most of them are rare.

Like the calcite structure, the cation in the aragonite structure is surrounded by 6 carbonate groups; the CO3 groups are rotated about an axis perpendicular to their plane and the cation is coordinated to nine oxygen atoms instead of six.

Carbonate minerals other than simple carbonates include hydrated carbonates, bicarbonates, and compound carbonates containing other anions in addition to carbonate.

Examples of these carbonate minerals are bastnäsite, doverite, malachite, and azurite.

Carbonate Mineral

Carbonate minerals are those minerals containing the carbonate ion, CO2−3.

The carbonate class in both the Dana and the Strunz classification systems include the nitrates.

Introduction List Of Most Common Carbonate Minerals

This is an introduction list that covers the most common carbonates minerals which are compounds of carbon dioxide with oxides of metals.

Color, red, reddish, or greenish white, sometimes, rose-red, green, brown gray or black; powder, white; luster, glassy; H = 3.5 to 4; G = 2.8 to 2.9; crystals, hexagonal system, like calcite; cleavage, perfect, giving cleavage pieces like those of calcite; composition, carbonate of lime and carbonate of magnesia, in about equal parts.

Color, white, yellowish, or grayish white, brown; powder, white; luster, glassy; H = 3.5 to 4.5; G = 3 to 3.12; crystals, in hexagonal system, like calcite; cleavage perfect; magnesite is sometimes found with no appearance of crystals.

Carbonate of magnesia, often mixed with a little carbonate of iron; fizzes with hot acid.

Color, yellowish gray, greenish gray, sometimes brown, or brownish red, or white; powder, white; luster, glassy or pearly; H = 3.5 to 4; G = 3.83 to 3.88; crystals, in hexagonal system, like calcite; cleavage, perfect; often very fine-grained or amorphous; composition, carbonate of iron, containing 48.3% of iron; but it usually contains more or less of the carbonates of manganese, magnesia, and lime, which lower the percentage of iron.

Color, white gray, grayish black, sometimes tinged blue or green with carbonates of copper; powder, white; luster, like diamond or dull, if, very fine-grained; H =3 to 3.5; G = 6.46 to 6.574; very brittle; cleavage, distinct; composition lead carbonate.

Also called cala-mine; miners call it dry bone; color, white, often grayish, greenish, brownish white, sometimes green, blue brown; powder white; luster, glassy to pearly; H=5; G=4.30 to 4.45; cleavage perfect; composition, zinc carbonate.

The “Acid Test” For Carbonate Minerals And Carbonate Rocks

These variations in effervescence vigor are a result of the type of carbonate minerals present, the amount of carbonate present, the particle size of the carbonate, and the temperature of the acid.

For these rocks the acid test might not be enough for a confident identification – but at least you will know that the rock has a significant carbonate mineral content.

These rocks might contain small veins or crystals of carbonate minerals that produce a fizz in contact with acid.

EXTREME ACID REACTIONS. A few rocks can produce an extreme reaction with hydrochloric acid.

The extremely vigorous reaction of cold hydrochloric acid with these specimens occurs because the rocks are so porous or because they have a very high surface area under a single drop of acid.

To limit frivolous acid use, students should be instructed to use a single drop of acid for the test and to only test specimens when carbonate minerals are suspected.

To keep the acid test from fouling your entire collection, ask students to rinse specimens after testing with acid and limit testing to only when it is needed.

Each carbonate shows characteristic absorption bands, some of which difier more or less from published curves.

The spectral difference between the more common groups may be related to crystal structure.

The spectral relationships among the minerals of several groups are not well known, due to the complicated composition and crystal structure.

Infrarecl active groups of CO:, HCOr, HrO, OH, and SOr dominate the absorption characteristics.

INrnooucrroN The infrared spectra of anhydrous carbonates among minerals and chemicalcompoundshave been studied to some degreeby Schaeferand Schubert, Schaeferet a”l.

Shell PLC Board Faces Legal Action From ClientEarth Over Alleged Mismanagement Of Climate Risk

“We believe that there are sufficient grounds to assert that Shell’s board is mismanaging the material and foreseeable climate risk facing the company,” said ClientEarth lawyer Paul Benson.

The board of Shell PLC is facing legal action from the environmental law organisation ClientEarth, which alleges that failure by the oil giant’s directors “To properly prepare the company for net zero” puts them in breach of their legal duties.

“Paul Benson, ClientEarth lawyer, said:”We believe that there are sufficient grounds to assert that Shell’s board is mismanaging the material and foreseeable climate risk facing the company.

“Shell is seriously exposed to the physical and transitional risks of climate change, yet its climate plan is fundamentally flawed. If, as we claim, the company’s plan is being held up to be Paris-aligned when it is not, then there is a risk of misleading investors and the market at large.”

ClientEarth said many of Shell’s largest institutional shareholders have expressed concern about the company’s climate strategy.

More than 30% of shareholders voted against the board in support of a resolution calling for Paris-aligned emissions targets at Shell’s 2021 AGM. The Climate Action 100+ Initiative, supported by the world’s biggest investors, is calling on all companies to align their business plans with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

ClientEarth said its lawyers believe Shell’s strategy “Does not square with the emissions reductions pathways scientists say are needed to meet that goal and avoid catastrophic climate change, nor does it square with the company’s own net zero ambition”.

Shell Directors Sued For ‘Failing To Prepare Company For Net Zero’

The directors of Shell are being sued for failing to properly prepare the multinational oil and gas company for net zero.

In what is thought to be a first-of-its-kind action, the lawsuit brought by activist shareholders claims that Shell’s 13 directors are personally liable for failing to devise a strategy in line with the Paris agreement, which aims to limit global heating to below 2C by slashing fossil fuel emissions.

The lawsuit claims the failure puts the directors in breach of their duties under the UK’s Companies Act.If successful, Shell’s board could be forced by the courts to change its strategy, taking specific concrete steps to align its plan with the Paris deal.

ClientEarth has said it is taking the action against Shell in the company’s best interests.

Paul Benson, a ClientEarth lawyer, said: “It’s the first of its kind, this case. It’s the first time that anyone has sought to hold the board accountable for failing to properly prepare for the net zero transition.”

In May 2021, a Dutch court ruled the company must reduce its emissions – including those from the fuel it sells – by 45% by the end of 2030.But Shell’s directors have appealed against that verdict and published an “Energy transition strategy” outlining the company’s aim to reach net zero by 2050 – a transition it describes as “In step with society”.

“Shell is actually really quite exposed to the risks of climate change those are physical risks and transitional risks. They are exposed to what we call stranded asset risk, where their assets – for example their facilities, their physical infrastructure – the value of that is just going to reduce or it will become a liability as the net zero transition progresses.”And they are exposed to massive write-downs of those assets.

Shell Directors May Face Lawsuit Over Climate Transition Plans

LONDON – Environmental lawyers ClientEarth said on Tuesday they were preparing legal action against the directors of Shell over the company’s climate transition plan, in what they said would be the first such case of its kind.

The ClientEarth lawyers said they are seeking to hold the directors personally liable for what they consider to be a failure to adequately prepare for the global shift to a low-carbon economy, claiming an alleged breach of the directors’ duties under the UK Companies Act.

“Addressing a challenge as big as climate change requires action from all quarters. The energy supply challenges we are seeing underscore the need for effective, government-led policies to address critical needs such as energy security while decarbonising our energy system. These challenges cannot be solved by litigation,” Shell said.

Shell’s net-zero target was also not reflected in the company’s operating plans or budgets, ClientEarth added.

The quality of the company’s climate transition plan has already been challenged by a court in the Netherlands which last year ordered it to go further.

ClientEarth said it was pursuing Shell’s directors for an alleged breach of the UK Companies Act, which requires them to act in a way that promotes the company’s success, and to do so whilst exercising reasonable care, skill and diligence.

ClientEarth said it was bringing the action as a shareholder in Shell on behalf of all stakeholders to help protect the long-term viability of the company.

Climate Group Prepares Legal Action Against Shell Directors

Shell’s board of directors bear personal responsibility for not preparing to cut emissions fast enough, an environmental shareholder group has claimed in the first significant attempt to hold individual executives legally accountable for alleged failures to tackle climate change.

ClientEarth, a Shell shareholder, notified the energy major on Monday that it would commence legal proceedings against the company’s 13 executive and non-executive directors for what it said was the board’s failure to adopt a strategy that “Truly aligns” with the 2015 Paris climate agreement.

The new legal action comes less than a year after Shell lost a landmark climate case in the Netherlands, where it was ordered by a court to reduce its emissions by 45 per cent by 2030 compared with 2019 levels.

Shell has said it will cut emissions from its own operations by more than the court has ordered but has appealed against the decision.

ClientEarth argues these commitments are not consistent with the Paris Agreement’s aim to limit any global temperature increase to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels and that Shell’s directors are in breach of their obligations under the UK Companies Act to “Act in a way that promotes the company’s success”.

Climate litigator Roger Cox, who is not involved in ClientEarth’s proceedings but led the Dutch case against Shell last year, said the effort by a shareholder to hold board directors personally accountable was part of a “Paradigm shift” in how society viewed corporate responsibility for climate change.

ClientEarth is encouraging institutional investors to join or support its claim ahead of Shell’s annual meeting in May. “Shell’s shareholders need certainty that the company is using their capital effectively in its navigation of the global energy transition and is genuinely pursuing the climate goals that it says it is,” Benson said.

David M. Zaslav is the president and chief executive officer of Discovery Inc., a position he has held since January 2007.

Zaslav instigated a shift in strategy by the company, aiming to see itself as a “Content company” rather than a “Cable company” by bolstering its main networks as multi-platform brands.

As CEO, Zaslav oversaw the development and launch of new networks such as Planet Green, The Hub, Oprah Winfrey Network, Velocity, and Investigation Discovery, as well as the company’s 2018 acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive, expansion of its digital education operations, and current emphasis on streaming services.

In May 2021, it was announced that Zaslav would serve as CEO of a proposed merger of Discovery with a spin-out of AT&T’s WarnerMedia.

David Zaslav was awarded the Susan Newhouse & SI Newhouse Award of Hope for his support of the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration in September 2016.

In 2017, Zaslav was inducted into the Cable Hall of Fame.

Zaslav lives in New York City with his wife Pam and the couple has three children.

David Zaslav Received Massive $246 Million Comp Package For 2021

Discovery CEO David Zaslav received a massive $203 million stock option grant last year that inflated his total 2021 compensation package to a staggering $246.6 million.

The stock option grant comes as Zaslav is about to lead a much larger company as the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery nears completion.

Although Zaslav will not see any liquidity from those options for years to come – and the payout only comes in success – the sheer size of the package is sure to draw more criticism about excessive executive compensation.

Zaslav received another $13.1 million in stock awards last year, in addition to $22 million in other compensation, on top of a previously reported $4.4 million bonus.

Zaslav has set records in the past with his lofty comp packages.

In making the case for Zaslav’s generous paycheck, the Discovery board cited Zaslav’s “Extraordinary leadership.during another pandemic-impacted year.” The board further hailed his handling of the negotiations with AT&T that led to the $43 billion spinoff deal that is expected to close next month.

“The hallmark of Mr. Zaslav’s tremendous 2021 achievements was his initiation of the Warner Media Transaction and his leadership of the negotiation and signing of this historic transaction, as well as his efforts to obtain regulatory approvals and meet other closing conditions, putting us on pace to close during the second quarter of 2022,” the board stated in Discovery’s annual report.

The one-time options grant extends over seven years, at strike prices of $35.65 or greater, according to a Discovery spokesman, which means Zaslav would receive a payout only after fueling a substantial surge in the share price.

Discovery’s stock closed Monday at $23.88.Zaslav negotiated an extension of his employment contract in May, after Discovery announced its $43 billion acquisition of AT&T’s WarnerMedia.

Adrenergic Receptors

Adrenergic receptors are the specific molecular structures in or on effector cells with which catecholamines or sympathomimetic drugs react in order to elicit the characteristic response(s) of the cells.

The effects of adrenergic receptors are transduced by guanine nucleotide regulatory binding proteins: alpha-1 by Gq/11, alpha-2 by Gi/o, and beta by Gs. Several polymorphisms have been found in these receptors which may have clinical significance.

Adrenergic receptors were originally divided into two major groups: α- and β-adrenoceptors.

Which includes α, and dopamine receptors, belong to the large family of G-protein-coupled, seven transmembrane domain receptors.

Belong to the guanine nucleotide-binding G protein-coupled receptor superfamily, and are membrane receptors that activate heterotrimeric G proteins following the binding of a ligand.

Adrenergic receptors were originally classified in 1948 into two major types, and β, based on their pharmacological characteristics.

Almost 40% of approved drugs for the treatment of CV are based on adrenergic receptors targeting.

Adrenergic Receptor

The adrenergic receptors or adrenoceptors are a class of G protein-coupled receptors that are targets of many catecholamines like norepinephrine and epinephrine produced by the body, but also many medications like beta blockers, beta-2 agonists and alpha-2 agonists, which are used to treat high blood pressure and asthma, for example.

Many cells have these receptors, and the binding of a catecholamine to the receptor will generally stimulate the sympathetic nervous system.

While the latter conclusion was subsequently shown to be incorrect, his receptor nomenclature and concept of two different types of detector mechanisms for a single neurotransmitter, remains.

Although receptors are less sensitive to epinephrine, when activated at pharmacologic doses, they override the vasodilation mediated by β-adrenoreceptors because there are more peripheral α1 receptors than β-adrenoreceptors.

Receptor Agonist potency order Agonist action Mechanism Agonists Antagonists α1: A, B, D Norepinephrine > epinephrine >> isoprenaline Smooth muscle contraction, mydriasis, vasoconstriction in the skin, mucosa and abdominal viscera & sphincter contraction of the GI tract and urinary bladder Gq: phospholipase C activated, IP3, and DAG, rise in calcium.

α1-adrenoreceptors are members of the Gq protein-coupled receptor superfamily.

Actions of the α1 receptor mainly involve smooth muscle contraction.

Alpha Adrenergic Receptors

Further, when administering a pharmacologic agent, it can exert either agonistic or antagonistic activity on the alpha receptors.

This activity reviews the various alpha receptors and examines the types of agents that can act upon these receptors to alter the physiologic response for therapeutic effect.

Describe the effects of agonistic and antagonistic activity on the various alpha receptors.

Alpha-1 receptors bind catecholamines including, both epinephrine and norepinephrine.

In instances in which there is hypoperfusion secondary to decreased cardiac output or decreased systemic vasculature resistance, alpha-1 receptors become stimulated.

It is worth noting that these compounds are not purely selective for the alpha receptor, and often engage beta-adrenergic receptors as well.

The adverse effects can be related to autonomic response to the systemic changes induced by the agent or to other receptors being antagonized, often those in the beta-adrenergic receptor family.

Adrenergic Receptor

Adrenergic Receptors bind norepinephrine and epinephrine, chemicals originally termed “Adrenalin” by the British.

Four basic subtypes exist which display distinct physiological functions and tissue expression.

Early pharmacological experiments demonstrated two basic subclasses of adrenergic receptors: alpha and beta.

Further studies have shown that the majority of the physiological effects of adrenergic receptors are carried out by four basic subtypes: Alpha1 Receptor, Alpha2 Receptor, Beta1 Receptor, and Beta2 Receptor.

This is discussed in further detail within each receptor subpage.

Mechanism of ActionAll adrenergic receptors are G-protein coupled receptors; however, different subtypes are connected to different signaling systems, each of which is discussed in further detail on the receptor subpage.

In general, alpha1 and beta receptors are excitatory with alpha1 receptors connected to Gq and beta receptors connected to Gs. In contrast, alpha2 receptors are inhibitory and are connected to Gi. Physiological AnatomyAdrenergic Receptors are found in the CNS where they are critical for wakefulness, cognition, and mood.

Structure, Function, And Regulation Of Adrenergic Receptors

Adrenergic receptors for adrenaline and noradrenaline belong to the large multigenic family of receptors coupled to GTP-binding proteins.

Three pharmacologic types have been identified: alpha 1-, alpha 2-, and beta-adrenergic receptors.

Each of these has three subtypes, characterized by both structural and functional differences.

The alpha 2 and beta receptors are coupled negatively and positively, respectively, to adenylyl cyclase via Gi or Gs regulatory proteins, and the alpha 1 receptors modulate phospholipase C via the Go protein.

Subtype expression is regulated at the level of the gene, the mRNA, and the protein through various transcriptional and postsynthetic mechanisms.

Adrenergic receptors constitute, after rhodopsin, one of the best studied models for the other receptors coupled to G proteins that are likely to display similar structural and functional properties.

Definition Of Adrenergic Receptors By Medical Dictionary

Such receptors can be activated by norepinephrine and/or epinephrine and by various adrenergic drugs; receptor activation results in a change in effector tissue function, such as contraction of arteriolar muscles or relaxation of bronchial muscles; adrenergic receptors are divided into α-receptors and β-receptors, on the basis of their response to various adrenergic activating and blocking agents.

Such receptors can be activated by norepinephrine, epinephrine, and adrenergic drugs; receptor activation results in a change in effector tissue function, such as contraction of arteriolar muscles or relaxation of bronchial muscles.

These receptors belong to a family of G protein coupled receptors and are found in the central nervous system and many tissues innervated by the peripheral nervous system.

There are two types of adrenergic receptors: α-receptors, which are mainly excitatory to smooth muscles and gland cells but cause relaxation of intestinal smooth muscles; β-receptors of which there are two types, β1 and β2.

Example: the dilator pupillae muscle contains mainly α-adrenergic receptors and stimulation produces mydriasis.

Ad·re·ner·gic re·cep·tors Reactive components of effector tissues, most of which are innervated by adrenergic postganglionic fibers of the sympathetic nervous system.

Such receptors can be activated by norepinephrine and/or epinephrine and by various adrenergic drugs.

Physiology Of Adrenergic Receptors

Activation of alpha 1 and beta 1 receptors cause stimulatory responses.

Activation of alpha 2 , beta 2 & beta 3 receptors cause inhibitory responses.

E causes a significantly greater response than NE when activating beta 2 receptors.

Alpha 1 receptors are more responsive to NE than to E. This is interesting as alpha 1 receptors are abundantly found on vascular smooth muscle as seen in the diagram.

Alpha 2 receptors are located on secretory terminals of some postsynaptic adrenergic neurons.

When these terminals secrete norepinephrine the neurotransmitter binds with these receptors as well as with adrenergic receptors on the other side of the synapse.

These receptors are the primary receptor in skeletal muscles arteries resulting in enhanced blood flow especially when epinephrine is present.

Post Idea #20: Adrenergic agonist

Related Articles – Summarized

Adrenergic Agonist

DefinitionAdrenergic Agonists are drugs that lead to stimulation of the adrenergic receptors.

Adrenergic agonists generally simulate activation of certain aspects of the sympathetic nervous system and are thus also known as “Sympathomimetics”.

In general, these compounds are divided into direct-acting, indirect-acting, or mixed-acting agonists depending on whether they directly activate adrenergic receptors or do so by indirect mechanisms.

Direct agonists physically bind the adrenergic receptor and simulate binding of an endogenous ligand.

These compounds can be highly specific, activating only certain subtypes of receptors, or can be rather promiscuous.

Indirect agonists do not physically bind adrenergic receptors.

These compounds directly bind adrenergic receptors but also promote the indirect mechanisms described above.

ScienceDirect Topics

One possible explanation for the result described above for a Th1-mediated response might be that when naive CD4+ T cells were isolated and activated in vitro, IL-2 secretion was decreased by exposure to NE, but the level of IFN-γ secreted per cell was increased upon reactivation, without affecting the number of Th1 cells that developed.

Exposure of Th1 cells to NE or a β2AR-selective agonist before their activation in vitro decreased IFN-γ production, while exposure either at the time of, or after, cell activation appeared to be either without effect or induced an increase in IFN-γ, respectively.

NE appears to have no effect on murine Th2 cell activity, likely because the murine Th2 cell does not express the β2AR. The role of NE and/or β2AR stimulation in modulating CD8+ T cell activity remains uncertain in both humans and animals, but may be influenced by the time of AR stimulation in relation to the stage of CD8+ T cell differentiation.

One critical finding was that NE-depleted mice were unable to upregulate CD86 expression on B cells when compared to NE-intact mice, suggesting that CD86 may be regulated by NE to help enhance the antibody response, possibly via costimulation of the T cell.

β2AR stimulation on a B cell in vitro increased the level of CD86 expressed on the surface of a B cell, and the level of IgG1 produced by a CD86-stimulated B cell, suggesting that CD86 served as not only a costimulatory molecule, but also a molecule that delivered a signal to a B cell directly.

Class switch recombination and the number of cells producing IgG1 were unchanged, suggesting that β2AR stimulation on a B cell affected a post-switch molecular process that regulated with rate of mature IgG1 transcription.

This finding suggests that β2AR stimulation on a B cell activates two distinct signaling pathways in a B cell to regulate the level of either IgG1 or IgE that would be produced by a B cell that was simply activated in the absence of NE. It is of interest to note that the latter type of B cell activation, that is, in the absence of NE, is what occurs normally when a B cell is activated in vitro or block GPCRs and most of these drugs target class A GPCRs.

Each of these main receptor types has a number of specific receptor subtypes that have been identified.

4 5 6 Distribution of receptors: Adrenergically innervated organs and tissues usually have a predominant type of receptor.

Tissues such as the vasculature of skeletal muscle have both α1 and β2 receptors, but the β2 receptors predominate.

7 Characteristic responses mediated by adrenoceptors: It is useful to organize the physiologic responses to adrenergic stimulation according to receptor type, because many drugs preferentially stimulate or block one type of receptor.

8 Characteristic responses mediated by adrenoceptors: 9 10 Distribution of receptors: Adrenergically innervated organs and tissues usually have a predominant type of receptor.

Nonselective β-blockers prevent vasodilatory effects of epinephrine on β2 receptors, leaving receptor stimulation unopposed.

At higher doses, it causes vasoconstriction by activating α1 receptors, whereas at lower doses, it stimulates β1 cardiac receptors.

Adrenergic Agonist

An adrenergic agonist is a drug that stimulates a response from the adrenergic receptors.

The five main categories of adrenergic receptors are: α1, α2, β1, β2, and β3, although there are more subtypes, and agonists vary in specificity between these receptors, and may be classified respectively.

Directly acting adrenergic agonists act on adrenergic receptors.

The G-protein receptor can affect the function of adenylate cyclase or phospholipase C, an agonist of the receptor will upregulate the effects on the downstream pathway.

The receptors are classed physiologically, though pharmacological selectivity for receptor subtypes exists and is important in the clinical application of adrenergic agonists.

Inhibitors of these enzymes act as indirect agonists of adrenergic receptors as they prolong the action of catecholamines at the receptors.

These drugs act directly on one or more adrenergic receptors.

Definition Of Adrenergic Agonist By Medical Dictionary

Adrenergic agonist A family of agents which have adrenaline-like effects, acting directly or indirectly on any of the five G-protein-coupled adrenergic receptors: apha1, alpha2, beta1, beta2, beta3.

Actions of adrenergic agonistsalpha1 receptors: Activate phospholipase C, increasing protein kinase C activity.

Alpha2: receptors Inhibit adenylate cyclase, decreasing protein kinase A activity.

Beta receptors: Activate adenylate cyclase, increasing protein kinase A activity.

Some of these predominantly act on the adrenergic alpha-receptors.

Others have little direct effect on the adrenergic receptors but enhance the release of natural catecholamine from the sympathetic nerve terminals.

Ad·re·ner·gic ag·o·nist An agent capable of combining with receptors to initiate actions of or like epinephrine.

Basic Concepts In Pharmacology: What You Need To Know For Each Drug Class, 5e

The indirect-acting drugs do not bind to specific receptors, but act by releasing stored norepinephrine.

The direct-acting drugs bind to the receptors, so specificity of action is a possibility.

DIRECT-ACTING AGONISTS ++ The focus here is to learn the specificity of the drugs for their receptor targets.

If you know the effect of stimulation of the target receptors, then you can deduce the drug actions and adverse effects.

The rest of the direct-acting drugs act on either or receptors.

Epinephrine has approximately equal effects at and receptors.

NOREPINEPHRINE has a relatively low affinity for β2 receptors.

How Do Adrenergic Agonists Work?

Adrenergic agonists are drugs that work by mimicking the functioning of the sympathetic nervous system-the part of the nervous system that increases heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, and eye pupil size.

The sympathetic nervous system causes the release of chemical messengers, such as noradrenaline and adrenaline from the adrenal glands.

Accelerates the rate and force of contractions of the heart.

As adrenergic agonist drugs are similar in structure to the chemical messengers, they mimic the actions of the chemical messengers.

These drugs may also stimulate the release of adrenaline or noradrenaline.

The information contained herein is not intended to cover all possible side effects, precautions, warnings, drug interactions, allergic reactions, or adverse effects.

In corporate governance and structure, several permutations can take shape, so the roles of both CEO and president may be different depending on the company.

Because the board is in charge of executive functions, and the CEO is responsible for integrating company policy into day-to-day operations, the CEO often fills the role of chairperson of the board.

In a corporation with many different businesses, there may be one CEO who oversees a number of presidents, each running a different business of the conglomerate and reporting to the same CEO. In a company with subsidiaries, it would be unusual to have one person carry out the roles of both CEO and president, although it does happen at times, often with smaller businesses.

The small business is often owned by the same person who is also the CEO and president.

In some instances, the president is also the CEO. In small businesses, the president might also be the owner of the company.

In an organization or company where a CEO is already in charge, the president is the second in command.

The CEO is not always the chair of the board, and the president is not always the COO. Whatever the arrangement, the ultimate goal in corporate governance is to effectively manage the relationship between owners and decision-makers and increase shareholder value.

CEO Vs. President: Responsibilities And Key Differences

First it’s essential to understand the differences between the CEO and the President positions and what these two roles entail.

If a company has both a CEO and a President, these two people will inevitably have to work together: the CEO has the vision, the President is the one executing it.

The corporate structure can impact the responsibilities of a CEO or a President.

In smaller companies, there might not even be a CEO or a President – or one person could be performing the responsibilities of both positions.

While neither a CEO nor a President might be working on such small tasks as improving email marketing or the like, they still have vastly different responsibilities working at the highest level.

The CEO might have to report to the Board of Directors, but the President will have to report both to the CEO and the Board of Directors.

The founder and/or owner of the company can also be its CEO and/or President, but the founder and/or owner of the company isn’t automatically its CEO and/or President.

CEO Vs. President: Key Differences In Top Business Positions

Two of the highest positions in a business structure are the CEO and the president.

In this article, we define what a CEO is, what a president is and what the differences are between them.

What is a president? The president is the second-in-command of a company, directly underneath the CEO. If a company does not have a CEO, the president holds the highest position in the organization.

The president uses the business strategies and long-term goals from the CEO to build the company’s budget.

The president’s success is measured by their relationship with the CEO and how closely they can execute business strategies and achieve the CEO’s objectives.

Is the owner of a business a CEO or president? A business owner can be in either role, depending on what focus they prefer to take in running the business.

Both positions focus on how the company functions daily to achieve the goals and vision of the CEO. How do I become a CEO or president? There are a few ways to become a CEO or president.

1.4 Considerations Not Carried Forward for Analysis The following resource areas or issues are commonly discussed in EAs for actions proposed by DOE. However, in an effort to streamline the NEPA process and enable timely expenditure of Recovery Act funds for fuel-efficiency projects, DOE did not analyze in detail resource areas that it did not anticipate would be impacted by the proposed project.

The State Historic Preservation Officer reviewed the referenced project and determined that the proposed project would have no effect.

Section The Draft EA indicates that the project is in an enterprise zone, and there is high unemployment within the proposed project area.

Because DOE’s Proposed Action is limited to providing financial assistance in cost-sharing arrangements to projects submitted by applicants in response to a competitive funding opportunity, DOE’s decision is limited to either accepting or rejecting the selected projects as proposed by the proponents, including their proposed technologies and selected sites.

In order to allow a comparison between the potential impacts of a project as implemented and the impacts of not proceeding with a project, DOE assumes that if it decided to withhold assistance from this project, the project would not proceed.

Although standing water can occur at the project site, the entire transfer parcel from the Naval Air Station Cecil Field has been assessed for wetlands and none were identified on the proposed project site.

CONCLUSIONS The proposed project would be constructed at the Cecil Commerce Center and is compatible with existing and surrounding land use of the project site.

Saft America, Inc. V. Jabil Circuit LTD, No. 3:2018cv00446

Court Description: ORDER granting 57 defendant Bourns, Inc.’s motion to dismiss, dismissing Bourns, Inc. without prejudice for lack of personal jurisdiction; denying 91 defendant Jabil Circuit, Ltd.’s motion to dismiss; directing Saft and Jabil to file an amended case management report no later than 10/10/2019.

I. Background Plaintiff Saft America, Inc.,, a subsidiary of Saft Groupe, S.A., of France, manufactures batteries in Jacksonville, Florida, for industrial and commercial use in the United States and abroad. Saft purchased component parts-busbar cards and power boards-for its EV-1 and EV-2 batteries from defendant Jabil Circuit, Ltd., a Chinese enterprise.

1 Thereafter, Saft amended its complaint to add Bourns as a defendant, naming it in a negligence count and in a joint and several negligence count against both Bourns and Jabil, supported by allegations that the power resistor subcomponents Bourns sold to Jabil were defective, and that either the power resistors or the busbar cards or both caused damage to Saft’s EV-2 batteries.

With its response to the motion to dismiss, Saft submitted declarations from both its General Counsel and Chief Financial Officer of Saft America, Inc., 13 as well as from an investigator Saft hired to investigate Bourns’ contacts with Florida.

60-1, Ex. A. In 2017, Saft America and Saft Groupe, S.A., in France received reports directly from Bourns regarding Bourns’ analysis of the battery failure.

Saft also points to Jabil’s answer to Saft’s Amended Complaint where Jabil admits that it was directed by Saft to purchase the component parts from Bourns.

Saft submitted no evidence of any further agreements between the parties, any purchases of Bourns’ products by Saft in Florida, or any other communication between Saft and Bourns until the 2017 failure.

A climbing harness is a device which allows a climber access to the safety of a rope.

Are not weight-bearing; nor are the elastic cords which restrain the leg loops from slipping down while not under load. The invention of the climbing harness has been attributed to Jeanne Immink, a Dutch climber in the late nineteenth century.

Some of the first climbing harnesses were devised in the U.K. in the early 1960s by Alan Waterhouse, Paul Seddon and Tony Howard who went on to form the Troll climbing equipment manufacturers.

Then quickly came the Swami Seat, a sit harness tied from webbing revealed to the climbing world thru an article in Summit Magazine in the mid-60s, which included leg loops and an integrated waist loop.

Once the seat/sit harness came to be, suppliers of climbing gear started making them with stitching replacing the knots.

In a study conducted, researchers came to a conclusion that there was no statistically significant evidence revealing a pattern between harness type and severity of climbing accidents.

Direct rock contact in rock climbing was the main reason for injury, not the type of climbing harness used.

What Is Cloud Management?

Cloud mangement tools help admins oversee all types of cloud and cloud activities, from resource deployment and use tracking to data integration, Kubernetes, and disaster recovery.

The database collects information on how the virtual or cloud infrastructure is performing and sends analyses to a web interface where cloud admins can visualize and analyze cloud performance.

Cloud management is a combination of software, automation, policies, governance, and people that determine how those cloud computing services are made available.

Integrate with existing IT. A cloud management platform must be customized to your needs: it must meet the requirements of the operating system, apps, provisioning, cloud security, storage frameworks, standard operating environments, and whatever else is running in the cloud.

Automation lifts a huge burden for cloud computing and is vital to any cloud management platform.

Every cloud management platform should be able to support all types of cloud smoothly and securely across multiple environments.

As cloud computing needs change, end users will adapt, as should the cloud management tools.

Cloud Adoption Framework

Delivering on a cloud strategy requires solid planning, readiness, and adoption.

The preceding steps create actionable approaches to deliver on the Cloud Adoption Framework’s Manage methodology.

It’s also relevant to cloud architects who need to develop a strong foundation in cloud operations or cloud design principles.

The content in the Cloud Adoption Framework affects the business, technology, and culture of enterprises.

This section of the Cloud Adoption Framework interacts heavily with IT operations, IT governance, finance, line-of-business leaders, networking, identity, and cloud adoption teams.

Business transformation that’s empowered by the cloud depends on the cloud architect to help guide decisions throughout the business and IT. Each section of the Cloud Adoption Framework represents a different specialization or variant of the cloud architect role.

This section of the Cloud Adoption Framework is designed for cloud architects with a passion for operations and management of deployment solutions.

What Is Cloud Management?

Cloud management is the process of maintaining oversight and administrative control of cloud computing products and services, whether deployed in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.

Hybrid Cloud – Hybrid cloud environments are comprised of a combination of public and private cloud services from different providers.

In the past decade, we’ve seen an increasing number of IT organizations take advantage of the flexibility and cost savings offered by the cloud-based infrastructure model – so why the sudden need for cloud management tools? In fact, the low deployment costs associated with cloud services have led IT organizations to deploy more and more applications into the cloud.

To achieve the visibility and control required to manage effectively, IT organizations need to view their cloud infrastructure through a consolidated platform that leverages APIs to pull data from every application in the organization’s hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environment – they need a cloud management platform.

Cloud management software platforms allow enterprise IT organizations to optimize and secure their cloud applications, manage compliance and configure real-time monitoring and alerts to prevent data breaches and cyber attacks.

The implementation of cloud management platform software solutions makes it easier for enterprise CIOs to maintain control of an increasingly disparate ecosystem of cloud computing technologies.

With a cloud management platform, your IT organization can aggregate log and performance data from multiple cloud service providers into a single platform, monitor in real time and even generate customized reports.

Defining Cloud Management Platforms and the Evolving CMP Market CMPs provide a means for a cloud service customer to manage the deployment and operation of applications and associated datasets across multiple cloud service infrastructures, including both onpremises cloud infrastructure and public cloud service provider infrastructure.

Necessary functionality includes: Access and authorization management Resource management across environments Financial management relating to subscribed cloud services Integration with the relevant target cloud environments and enterprise internal systems Service catalogs to support self-service provisioning or resource approvals Cloud brokerage – rules-based guidance for asset placement decisions Integration points can include: Service delivery systems – part of self-service, approval and ongoing management of deployment and cloud service consumption.

Challenges of Hybrid Cloud Services Adoption of hybrid cloud services is driven by the need to reduce cloud infrastructure spend, increase speed of delivery, improve IT resiliency, more effectively service a variety of workloads, use best-of-breed cloud services, and avoid vendor lock-in.

Functions of a Cloud Management Platform According to the National Institute of Standards for Technology a cloud broker is defined as: an entity that manages the use, performance and delivery of cloud services, and negotiates relationships between cloud providers and cloud consumers.

Public cloud service – The CMP must integrate with required public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and IBM Bluemix to enable management of resources residing in public cloud services.

The first area of concern is what cloud environments are managed by the CMP. Does it handle private / on-premises cloud environments – and if so, what technologies are supported for these systems? Does it handle public cloud environments and if so, which of the various public cloud offerings are supported? Does the CMP handle hybrid environments which combine private and public cloud environments? The second area of concern is what capabilities are managed by the CMP. It is typical for IaaS capabilities to be managed – compute, storage and networking.

Criteria Description Technology & Architecture Criteria Cloud Service Provider and Cloud Infrastructure Integrations One of the most significant criteria to consider in your evaluation should be the ability of the CMP to provide a single pane of glass view of all your subscribed cloud services and deployed cloud workloads within your current and target public, community, and private clouds.

Cloud Management

Cloud management is the management of cloud computing products and services.

Software developers have responded to the management challenges of cloud computing with a variety of cloud management platforms and tools.

Enterprises with large-scale cloud implementations may require more robust cloud management tools which include specific characteristics, such as the ability to manage multiple platforms from a single point of reference, or intelligent analytics to automate processes like application lifecycle management.

Because control of these functions is based on the cloud provider’s infrastructure and services, public cloud users must integrate with the cloud infrastructure management.

CMPs provide a means for a cloud service customer to manage the deployment and operation of applications and associated datasets across multiple cloud service infrastructures, including both on-premises cloud infrastructure and public cloud service provider infrastructure.

A cloud management platform provides broad cloud management functionality atop both public cloud provider platforms and private cloud platforms.

Public cloud service – The CMP must integrate with required public cloud services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Cloud, Oracle, etc to enable management of resources residing in public cloud services.

Distributed Generation Of Electricity And Its Environmental Impacts

Distributed generation refers to a variety of technologies that generate electricity at or near where it will be used, such as solar panels and combined heat and power.

Distributed generation systems, particularly combined heat and power and emergency generators, are used to provide electricity during power outages, including those that occur after severe storms and during high energy demand days.

Distributed generation systems are subject to a different mix of local, state, and federal policies, regulations, and markets compared with centralized generation.

Distributed generation can benefit the environment if its use reduces the amount of electricity that must be generated at centralized power plants, in turn can reduce the environmental impacts of centralized generation.

Distributed generation systems require a “Footprint”, and because they are located closer to the end-user, some distributed generation systems might be unpleasant to the eye or cause land-use concerns.

Distributed generation technologies that involve combustion-particularly burning fossil fuels-can produce many of the same types of impacts as larger fossil-fuel-fired power plants, such as air pollution.

Some distributed generation technologies, such as waste incineration, biomass combustion, and combined heat and power, may require water for steam generation or cooling.

Distributed Generation

Distributed generation is a term describing the generation of electricity for use on-site, rather than transmitting energy over the electric grid from a large, centralized facility.

Most of the power in the United States is currently generated from centralized sources, which transmit large amounts of power over long distances.

Six percent of generated power in the United States is lost through inefficiencies in the transmission process, mostly due to the long distances the power must travel.

By deploying smaller power systems near where they are needed, distributed generation avoids most of these issues.

Sources of distributed generation include: on-site renewables, such as wind and solar; waste-to-energy; and combined heat and power, which involves reclaiming the heat generated by a conventional power plant to heat buildings and/or water.

There are a variety of market and regulatory obstacles that have slowed the expansion of distributed generation in the United States, though these barriers are eroding as more see the value of distributed generation systems and their technology costs come down.

The continued growth of distributed generation, supported by policy changes, can allow businesses and communities to address grid vulnerabilities and become more sustainable.

Distributed Generation

Distributed generation, also distributed energy, on-site generation, or district/decentralized energy, is electrical generation and storage performed by a variety of small, grid-connected or distribution system-connected devices referred to as distributed energy resources.

Since the 2010s, grid parity for solar and wind has become a reality in a growing number of markets, including Australia, several European countries, and some states in the U.S. Distributed energy resource systems are small-scale power generation or storage technologies used to provide an alternative to or an enhancement of the traditional electric power system.

Molten carbonate fuel cell and solid oxide fuel cells using natural gas, such as the ones from FuelCell Energy and the Bloom energy server, or waste-to-energy processes such as the Gate 5 Energy System are used as a distributed energy resource.

A distributed energy resource is not limited to the generation of electricity but may also include a device to store distributed energy.

Distributed energy storage systems applications include several types of battery, pumped hydro, compressed air, and thermal energy storage.

Without any form of energy storage during times of high solar generation, companies must rapidly increase generation around the time of sunset to compensate for the loss of solar generation.

A wide variety of complex control algorithms exist, making it difficult for small and residential Distributed Energy Resource users to implement energy management and control systems.

Distributed Generation

Whether you are a customer considering distributed generation or you are an experienced contractor, we can help you learn more about distributed generation and guide you through the application process.

Distributed generation is generally a small electrical production facility that provides electricity to a home or business, with excess electricity sold to a utility.

Community distributed generation allows an electrical production facility up to 5kW, such as a solar farm project, to share benefits through a subscription with residential and business participants who otherwise are not able to participate in solar benefits.

Application for interconnection of distributed generation can be submitted via our online portal.

We’ve included the information needed to set up either a small or large distributed generation project at your home or business location.

Distributed Generation

Deploying distributed PV can reduce transmission line losses, increase grid resilience, avoid generation costs, and reduce requirements to invest in new utility generation capacity.

Incorporate distributed PV into integrated resource planning and modeling of system capacity expansion to optimize the amount of distributed PV on the system in the future.

To enable informed decision-making and planning related to increasing levels of distributed PV resources, the Distributed Generation Interconnection Collaborative facilitates knowledge sharing among its members about distributed PV interconnection practices, research, and replicable innovations.

Estimating the benefits and costs of achieving significant deployment of distributed PV helps power system stakeholders evaluate regulatory measures and compensation programs for distributed PV. To inform these decisions, this report describes current and potential future methods, data, and tools that could be used with different levels of sophistication and effort to estimate the benefits and costs of distributed PV from the utility or electricity-generation system perspective.

Although the report is explicitly written in the context of informing estimation of distributed PV costs and benefits to the United States electricity system, the discussions of the various methods, level of effort, and data and modeling requirements provide insights relevant to power systems outside of the U.S. The report provides methodologies for estimating distributed PV benefits and costs for the following categories: energy, environmental, transmission and distribution losses, generation capacity, transmission and distribution capacity, ancillary services, and other factors.

In anticipation of significant growth in distributed PV in India, this report reviews global and Indian policies and regulations for distributed generation; identifies technical challenges to significantly increasing grid-connected distributed PV; and makes recommendations for addressing power quality, safety, grid stability, and distribution system operation issues.

This concept note introduces “Integrated Distribution Planning,” an alternative, emerging methodology designed to enable distributed PV. In the Integrated Distributed Planning concept, utilities or distribution system operators proactively study the hosting capacity of distribution circuits, the ability of these distribution circuits to accommodate growth in distributed generation, and any necessary infrastructure upgrades, all in advance of receiving interconnection requests from generators.

Renewable Energy: Distributed Generation Policies And Programs

Distributed generation is the term used when electricity is generated from sources, often renewable energy sources, near the point of use instead of centralized generation sources from power plants.

State and local governments can implement policies and programs regarding distributed generation and its use to help overcome market and regulatory barriers to implementation.

Resources related to different types of distributed generation renewable energy policies and programs are available below.

The Best Baby Monitors For 2022

Most smart baby monitors are effectively just home security cameras-devices that let you watch another location with color video, night vision, and sound, so you can tell if anything is amiss.

Because baby monitors are for keeping an eye on your little one rather than on your home and property, they prioritize different features than security cameras.

From a pure imaging standpoint, night vision is vital for watching your baby sleep from another room and is standard for most baby monitors.

Watching your child from moment to moment is far more important than going over footage from previous nights, so baby monitors don’t usually make a big deal about saving video for later, whether using built-in storage or through a cloud service.

Instead, baby monitors offer more options for letting you know when something might be wrong at that moment.

They aren’t out of the question, however; some camera-only baby monitors offer viewers as an add-on or in a bundle.

Baby monitors are just one way to keep track of your little one.
